So far so good. For installation, I had to connect the two wires and screw the fan adapter (small piece) to the light fixture (not the other way around). The wires will twist (and probably break) if you connect the wires and try to screw on the light fixture to the fan. Make sure and pull the wires through the fan adapter first before connecting the white connectors. I happen to have a separate light switch and a separate fan switch, which is very convenient.
