Amazon to the rescue! I bought my home from the previous owner and they’d lost the remote control–I needed a new one! The hardest part in all of this is that Hunter uses a unique four switch code to prevent interference between similar ceiling fan units. Any replacement remote control MUST use the same code setting as the receiver in order to work. With an existing installation, this means taking the ceiling fan down to find the receiver code. Mine was set as on-off-off-off. Plan B is to try all code combinations on the remote transmitter until you find the matching code that works.There is no partial…
Installation is trickier than i thought – otherwise works pretty well First off it installing it is not straightforward! You need to switch off electricity to fan and mess with wires. I hired an electrician to put up the fan but should have waited until i received this product for him to install it as well. So i set aside a couple of daylight hours to work on this. Fortunately hunter support is quite good so they helped. It did fit in the canopy with their help and the wiring was more complicated than what they said in directions. But now it seems to work…
