Good quality and as described. I have a 120 year old vacation home in Newport and one of the ceiling lights had a dark and contemporary glass shade installed. This shade let much more of the light through and gave the room the correct Victorian type look. There is a large hole in the center a smaller hole for a pull-string about a half inch away. Great replacement for old cracked bowl We just bought a recently renovated house and one of the builders was a little over-zealous with a pliers, cracking the bowl on one of our ceiling fans.The old globe measured 14″ wide by 4.5″ tall, and this was basically a perfect fit.
