track light adapter The purpose of this adapter is so you can use pendant lights to be suspended from lighting track.This unit is designed to attach lighting that hangs from a chain that originaly had a ceiling canopy, or no attachment means. The pendant lights I had, merely had a cable which had a strain relief connector and a ceiling mount canopy. I had to adapt this unit to work with my pendant lights.
