Smells like burning polymers when on. I’ve bought 3 of these and had to replace 2 due to the smell of burning plastic upon install. The fan looks good and runs well otherwise but the smell for the defective ones was terrible, concerning and did not go away. I’m thankful it didn’t not short out and cause a fire as I don’t know what else the smell could be. I checked the wires when I removed them and saw no signs of burning so I assume the motor itself has an issue. Being that I’ve had this proble 2/4 times, I suspect an issue…
The fan looks good and works well since it is a Hunter fan. However, the installation is a work of art. Unless you are replacing the old Hunter fan, it will require new installation techniques. We had to run to the warehouse store to get the proper parts and anchorage supports three times. It took us a total of 5 hours to get it done. We could have returned it. However, we could not give up after spending 2 -3 hours trying to put it up. Other than the installation hassle, I still like…
